International start-ups establishing a base of operations in southern Ontario need support to accelerate their success. Navigating new approaches, cultures and business opportunities requires a customized set of soft-landing services. Through the Acceleration+ program the Halton/Hamilton communities in southwestern Ontario are excited to welcome new technology and innovation companies to the region and roll up our sleeves to help make the transition as smooth as possible. Working together with partners LatAm Startups, TechPlace, Haltech and Innovation Factory are focused on growth and the accelerating success of companies who are ready to scale operations in Canada and have selected southwestern Ontario as their new home.
Who is Acceleration+ for?
Acceleration+ is best suited for companies that have completed LatAm Startups’ Phase I and II programs. The program will support companies with services geared to talent attraction, team building, culture coaching, GBA+ training, investment, sales growth strategy, accounting services and company valuation. Entrepreneurs will also receive support for community integration, site selection, building development process support, local market insights and resource connections. Companies will also have access to professional working spaces, meeting, and event space.
How can I apply? How does the program work?
Acceleration+ services are available to companies endorsed by LatAm Startups. In order to be endorsed by LatAm Startups, you must complete their Phase I: Market Validation Program and Phase II: Market Entry Program. Companies will be accepted on a rolling intake following introductions via LatAm Startups. Services will be provided over a 3-to-6-month period (up to 1 year for space). Services will be individually determined following a discovery session with each company to determine needs.
